From Tennessee to Iowa to South Dakota
Growing up in Tennessee I remember learning to quilt while sitting on my grandmother’s lap. And it seems I haven’t stopped!Around here, I like to say we create with happiness! Over the years, I’ve collected a lot of advice, tips and tricks, along with a lot of fabric (of course). And here on my site, you’ll find lots of fun projects and hopefully useful information to keep you quilting. Around here, I like to say we create with happiness! I mean, how can you not enjoy piecing together colorful creations that give you a warm and comfy feeling.

Today I live in the beautiful Black Hills of western South Dakota in the picturesque and quaint community of Spearfish with my husband and our Corgi Jules. I’m always looking for time to sneak off into my sewing room and whip up something new for all my on-line quilting friends.

I have a collection of small projects I like to call “little things.” And we’ve also created a line of fabric quilted greeting cards. Of course there’s the ever popular with quilters “block of the month” and my first one is a design I call “Back in the Day” which harkens back to simpler times when it seemed life was slow enough for long conversations with a cup of coffee on the front porch.
