Block of the Month
Our first featured block of the month quilt is called “Back in the Day”
Sometimes I think maybe I was born in the wrong century! I love to reminisce on times that were simpler, and I designed this quilt to harken back to the days when there were just a few important things that knit families and communities together.
Blocks such as the house and church block remind us of the importance of faith and family. “Card tricks” and “hopscotch” block make me remember fun times playing as a little girl before the internet and video games. “Corn and beans” and “windmill” make me think of the years I spent in central Illinois. “Spinning wheel” and “churn dash” bring to mind memories of my grandmother and what life was like for her in the early 1900’s.
This BOM consists of 14 months and you will receive one block a month, complete with reproduction fabric and instructions. Some of the blocks are simpler than others, but some may require just a bit more experience. But don’t worry, I’ll be here to help with good instructions.
The blocks are of various sizes but the finished quilt measures 75″ x 75″, perfect for cuddling up with on the couch in front of the fire.
Your credit card will only be charged each month when the block is shipped.
