Description
Doll quilts are fun and easy to make. And because of that they are very rewarding since you can be proud of yourself for finishing something! It can take as little as one day to make.
This is the 8th quilt in our series of doll quilts, and it’s one of my favorites. Finished size is 15 1/2″ x 20 1/2”.
Did you ever go apple picking? I did this often as a child; and peaches and strawberries…
Grandma did a lot of canning and baking and we got to enjoy the “fruits” of her labors. After all the fruit was worked up, we got to play with the crates. We made doll beds and houses with them mostly but sometimes granddaddy snagged them and used them in his shop. This simple quilt is made with only two different sized pieces. The contrast of light and dark is what brings out the pattern. It can be made two different ways to achieve an opposite effect. There is enough fabric in the kit to make the pattern either way; dark slats with light windows or light slats with dark windows. You choose! Have fun!
